![]() ![]() Either way, it's kind of broken and that is sad because this game has amazing potential for VR wonderment. It would seem the developers have either given up on trying to make VR a quality experience, or they literally don't know why to fix it. The fact that when I tried to Google solutions to some of my issues, only to find people from 3 and 4 years ago complaining about the same thing, is not reassuring either. It seems unpolished and unfinished, and suffers from way too many visual issues and experience-reducing problems. I was very disappointed with the experience. ![]() There are more, I am sure, but this is what comes immediately to mind. Sometimes textures will be low-poly LODs until the player is right up on them. I mean WAY worse than it is in the regular game. ![]() The PDA is WAY too close your face and suffers from the weird aliasing I mentioned a moment ago. This creates an immersion breaking issue and/or creates a messy, immersion breaking view of the game world. It moves around with your line of sight, instead of existing in a forward area in respect to the direction you are facing (or being docked to the vehicle screen when in the Seamoth, etc.). The HUD is very intrusive, as well, especially when inside a vehicle. Is there some reason for this? Why are there no graphics settings available to address these issue? Is it a hardware problem? Whatever it is it really hurt my experience in this regard. This applies not only to vr games, but for vr it is completely essential.įor goggles such as quest, you also need to specify the connection method and programs you use.I was really looking forward to trying this in VR, only to find out that the experience is far worse than anticipated.įirst off, the graphics quality seems to be significantly reduced for objects at a distance compared to the regular game, with lots of aliasing and artifacting that is very immersion breaking and unappealing. The minimum is to describe your computer properly, and give examples of vr games that work for you. ![]() It is strange that you expect help, and do not provide the necessary information on the profile, and here you also did not write anything. Later, you'll see something that's similar to a loading screen.Īnd this is strange the most, first as I remember there is water and the view of the ship.Īnd this view of the ship, it gets after a while the whole screen, but not 360, just flat, and it spins with your head, and it's a very long time, the game loads for a very long time.Īfter a long while the game loads, the beginning you should be in the rescue capsule.Īnd to be interesting this capsule at the beginning of the game also causes problems, from what I remember, until the fire is extinguished or repaired. When you choose a new game, the first time there was probably a movie, but I'm not sure anymore. You are sure that the game does not work for you, it starts strangely.Īt the beginning you have a screen with a menu. I play the rift in the stable version without mods. I can't even see the game because it's so distorted. The intro screen works fine but when I go to start a new game the entire screen dissapears somewhere to the top and is all laggy and buggy.
